Plans you can bring to Prestige

• CarMax MaxCare and MaxCare Plus — CarMax says MaxCare can be used at any licensed repair facility that offers a 12-month/12,000-mile parts and labor warranty, and that covered repairs at a RepairPal Certified shop come with a $50 lower deductible (state limitations may apply). Prestige Oakland Park is RepairPal Certified and backs its repairs with a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty.
• Extended warranties and vehicle service contracts — plans from providers such as Endurance, CarShield / American Auto Shield, CARCHEX, Olive and others generally allow repairs at a licensed or ASE-certified facility. Check your contract, then call us.
• Manufacturer-backed extended plans and certified pre-owned coverage — some must be done at a dealer; others reimburse an independent shop. Send us your contract and we will tell you before you tow the car in.
• Tire and wheel protection plans sold with many leases and used-car purchases.

How a warranty repair works at Prestige

1. Bring the car and your contract number. If it does not drive, many plans include roadside assistance and towing — ask the tow to bring it to either Prestige location.
2. Diagnosis. We find the cause and document it with photos. Some administrators require diagnosis or teardown approval first; we tell you up front if any of that cost may not be covered.
3. Authorization. We send the administrator our findings and estimate and work with their adjuster or inspector if they send one.
4. Repair. Covered work starts once it is approved. The administrator pays the covered amount under your contract; you pay your deductible and anything the plan does not cover — we show you which is which before work begins.

Do you accept extended warranties like Endurance or CarShield?

Most vehicle service contracts allow repairs at a licensed or ASE-certified repair facility. Call us with your contract number and we will confirm the process with your administrator before you bring the car in.

Who pays for the repair?

The plan administrator pays the covered portion under your contract, usually directly to the shop. You pay your deductible and any items the plan does not cover. We show you the split before work starts.

Do I have to pay for diagnosis?

Some contracts cover diagnosis only when the failure is a covered repair. We tell you before we start whether any diagnostic or teardown time could be your responsibility.

Can the warranty company tow my car to you?

Many plans include roadside assistance and towing. Ask the roadside dispatcher to tow the vehicle to Prestige at 250 NE 44th St, Oakland Park, or 930 NE 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale.
