Getting to our Oakland Park shop from Coconut Creek

Coconut Creek sits in north-central Broward between Margate and Deerfield Beach. Our Oakland Park shop is the closer of our two shops, about 9 to 12 miles south.

  • Powerline Road: head east on Sample Road or Hillsboro Boulevard to Powerline Road, then south to Commercial Boulevard. Turn east, then south on Andrews Avenue to NE 44th Street.
  • I-95: take Sample Road east to I-95, go south to the Commercial Boulevard exit, and head east to Andrews Avenue.
  • Florida’s Turnpike: from the west side of the city, the Turnpike south to the Commercial Boulevard exit, then east across State Road 7 and I-95.

Shop address: 250 NE 44th St, Oakland Park, FL 33334, (954) 303-0758. Short on time? Call the shop to schedule pickup.

Coconut Creek areas we serve

Wynmoor and the communities off Lyons Road, the Sample Road and State Road 7 corridor near the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, the Promenade at Coconut Creek area, the Broward College North Campus area on Coconut Creek Parkway, neighborhoods near Butterfly World and Tradewinds Park, and homes along Hillsboro Boulevard and Johnson Road.

Low miles still wear a car out

Many Coconut Creek cars rack up few miles: errands on Lyons Road, a trip to the doctor, a drive to the Promenade. Low mileage sounds easy on a car, but South Florida heat keeps aging parts whether the car moves or not.

  • Batteries. Heat is the main thing that kills a car battery here, and short trips never give it time to recharge. A battery that tested fine last winter can fail in August. We test it at every visit.
  • Tires that look new. Tread can be deep while the rubber is old and hard. We read the date code on the sidewall and look for cracking before calling a tire good.
  • Brake fluid. It absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point and lets corrosion start inside the brake system. Most makers call for a flush on a time schedule, not just mileage.
  • Oil changed by the calendar. Short trips don’t warm the oil enough to boil off moisture and fuel. If you drive very little, change oil on the time interval in your owner’s manual, not only when the mileage comes due.
  • Rubber hoses and belts. Heat cracks them with age. We check them on the lift and photograph anything worn.

State Road 7 and Sample Road traffic

The other half of Coconut Creek driving is the busy stuff: Sample Road at rush hour, State Road 7 near the casino, and stop-and-go on Hillsboro Boulevard. That traffic is hard on brakes and on cooling systems that have to keep up with the A/C at a standstill. If your temperature gauge climbs in traffic or the A/C blows warm at red lights, the cooling fan, condenser or refrigerant charge is the usual suspect. Our Oakland Park A/C repair team tests the system with gauges and leak detection before recommending anything.

Students and first cars

Broward College North Campus brings plenty of students driving older, higher-mileage cars. For those, the basics matter most: oil changes on schedule, a brake check before the pads reach metal, and a cooling system that won’t leave you stranded on Coconut Creek Parkway. We explain what needs doing now and what can wait, in writing, so you can budget.

Questions drivers ask

Frequently asked questions

How far is Prestige from Coconut Creek?
Our Oakland Park shop is about 9 to 12 miles south, depending on where you start. Powerline Road to Commercial Boulevard is the most direct surface route, and I-95 from Sample Road works too.
My car has low miles. Do the tires still need replacing?
Sometimes. Tires age from heat and sunlight even when the tread looks fine. We check the date code, look for cracking in the sidewalls and tread grooves, and tell you plainly whether they are still safe.
Do you service everyday cars, or only luxury models?
Every make. We work on Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Chevrolet and Jeep alongside European, exotic and EV models. See Japanese and Korean car repair.
