How Parkland drivers get to our shop
Parkland is in the far northwest corner of Broward, so we are not a neighborhood shop for you. Our Oakland Park shop is the closer of our two shops, roughly 16 to 20 miles away depending on where in Parkland you live.
- Sawgrass Expressway and I-95: pick up the Sawgrass from University Drive or Coral Ridge Drive, follow it east to where it ends at I-95 in Deerfield Beach, then go south to the Commercial Boulevard exit and east to Andrews Avenue.
- Surface roads: come down University Drive or Coral Ridge Drive to Sample Road, head east to Powerline Road, then south to Commercial Boulevard.
- Hillsboro Boulevard: from the north end of Parkland, Hillsboro Boulevard runs east to I-95.
Shop address: 250 NE 44th St, Oakland Park, FL 33334, (954) 303-0758. If the drive across the county doesn’t fit, call the shop to schedule pickup.

Heron Bay, Parkland Golf & Country Club, MiraLago, Cypress Head, Watercrest, Pine Tree Estates, Parkland Ranches and the larger-lot streets in the north end of the city, plus the neighborhoods along Holmberg Road, University Drive and Hillsboro Boulevard near Pine Trails Park.
Nails, screws and new construction
West Parkland has seen a lot of new home building, and construction traffic leaves nails, screws and bits of metal on the roads. A slow leak from a screw in the tread is one of the most common reasons a Parkland driver ends up needing a tire shop.
- Repair or replace. A puncture in the center of the tread can often be repaired from the inside with a patch-plug. One near the shoulder or sidewall cannot.
- EV and run-flat tires. Many Tesla and BMW SUVs ride on tires with foam liners or run-flat sidewalls. They can hide a leak for days. If your TPMS light comes on, check pressures before you drive on it.
- TPMS sensors. A sensor damaged during a tire change or a dead sensor battery keeps the warning light on. We test and replace TPMS sensors and program them to the car.
Big SUVs and EVs at Sawgrass speed
Parkland driveways tend toward large SUVs and EVs, and almost every trip starts with several miles of open road before you reach anything. Heavy vehicles at highway speed wear parts in a particular way.
- Tire wear. A Model Y, Model X, X5 or GLE weighs well over two tons. Regular rotation and alignment checks keep the tires from wearing out early on the inside edge.
- Air suspension. Range Rover, Mercedes GLE and GLS, Audi Q7 and Rivian air springs age in the heat. A corner that sits low in the morning or a compressor that runs often is the warning sign. See air suspension repair.
- EV 12V batteries. Teslas and Rivians still rely on a low-voltage battery for doors, screens and startup. When it weakens, the car can refuse to wake up. We test and replace them.
- Brakes on EVs. Regenerative braking means the pads do little work, so rotors can rust and calipers can stick from lack of use, especially in humid weather.
Afternoon storms on open roads
Summer thunderstorms build fast over west Broward. Heavy rain on Holmberg Road, University Drive and the Sawgrass brings standing water and lower grip. Worn tires and old wiper blades make it worse. We check tread depth and blades on every visit and tell you plainly when either is getting close.
