Getting from Boynton Beach to our Oakland Park shop
Boynton Beach is in southern Palm Beach County, so we are a real drive away, not the shop around the corner. Our Oakland Park shop is the closer of our two shops. Depending on where in Boynton you start, the trip is roughly 25 to 30 miles.
- I-95: get on at Boynton Beach Boulevard, Woolbright Road or Gateway Boulevard and head south through Delray Beach, Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach. Exit at Commercial Boulevard, go east to Andrews Avenue, and NE 44th Street is a short block east of Andrews.
- Florida’s Turnpike: from west Boynton, use the Boynton Beach Boulevard interchange, ride south to the Commercial Boulevard exit, then head east across State Road 7 and I-95 to Andrews Avenue.
- Federal Highway or A1A: from Ocean Ridge and the barrier island, the coast roads work but carry a long string of lights through four cities. Most people cut over to I-95.
Shop address: 250 NE 44th St, Oakland Park, FL 33334, (954) 303-0758. If the drive doesn’t fit your week, call the shop to schedule pickup.
Boynton Beach areas we serve
Downtown along Ocean Avenue and Boynton Beach Boulevard near the Boynton Harbor Marina, the Congress Avenue corridor around the Boynton Beach Mall, Quantum Park off Gateway Boulevard, neighborhoods along Seacrest Boulevard and Woolbright Road, the communities west of the Turnpike toward Jog Road and Hagen Ranch Road, plus Ocean Ridge and Briny Breezes on the island side of the Intracoastal.
What a long I-95 commute does to a car
Plenty of Boynton Beach drivers work in Broward or West Palm Beach. That means daily highway miles, summer heat and the stop-and-go stretches through Boca and Deerfield.
- Tires and alignment. Sustained 70 mph runs heat tires, and a slightly low tire runs hotter still. Alignment problems show up as wear on one edge long before the car pulls.
- Brakes from speed. Hard stops when traffic bunches up on I-95 put heat into rotors. A steering-wheel shake under braking usually means uneven rotor deposits or worn pads.
- Cooling system and A/C. Crawling in traffic with the A/C on full is the toughest load for a radiator fan, water pump and A/C compressor. We pressure-test cooling systems and check A/C output with gauges, not guesswork.
- Transmission fluid. Automatic and dual-clutch gearboxes run warmer in Florida commuting. Old fluid shows up as harsh or delayed shifts.
Salt air near the Boynton Inlet
Cars that live east of Federal Highway, in Ocean Ridge or near the Boynton Inlet, get a steady coat of salt mist. Over time it attacks brake rotors and caliper slides, exhaust hangers, battery terminals, A/C condensers and the underside of the car. When your car is on our lift, we look at those parts and photograph anything that has started to corrode, so you can deal with it before it becomes a stuck caliper or a leaking condenser.
Why Boynton Beach drivers make the trip
There are shops closer to home. Drivers who come down to Oakland Park usually do it for one of these reasons:
- Sunday hours. The Oakland Park shop is open 7 days, 8 AM – 7 PM, so a weekend visit works.
- After-hours drop-off. If you commute into Broward, you can leave the car in our 24-hour lot on the way in.
- Factory-level diagnostics. BMW ISTA, Mercedes XENTRY, Porsche PIWIS-level and JLR Pathfinder-level tools for European cars, plus scan tools for Japanese, Korean and American makes.
- Every make under one roof. European, exotic, EV and hybrid, Japanese and domestic, plus in-house body and paint.
- Our warranty. Repairs carry a 2-year / 24,000-mile warranty, honored at both shops.
