Auto Repair for Hollywood, FL Drivers

Updated

Hollywood, FL drivers who want auto repair from a European, exotic and EV specialist use the Prestige Auto Repairs & Tires shop at 930 NE 4th Ave in Fort Lauderdale, about 10 to 12 miles north of downtown Hollywood on I-95 or US-1. We have no Hollywood location. Fort Lauderdale is open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM; on Sunday, our Oakland Park shop is open.

Closest shop: Fort Lauderdale

Prestige Auto Repairs & Tires has no shop in Hollywood. We serve Hollywood drivers at our two Broward shops, and the Fort Lauderdale shop at 930 NE 4th Ave is the closer one: roughly 10 to 12 miles from downtown Hollywood, a little more from Hollywood Beach or the neighborhoods west of State Road 7.

Other businesses in Hollywood use the Prestige name. Prestige Auto Repairs & Tires is not affiliated with them; our only two shops are in Oakland Park and Fort Lauderdale.

How Hollywood drivers get to us:

  • I-95 north. Get on at Hollywood Boulevard, Sheridan Street, Stirling Road or Griffin Road. Stay north past the I-595 interchange, exit at Sunrise Boulevard, head east and turn south onto NE 4th Avenue. The shop is just below Sunrise.
  • US-1 (Federal Highway) north. From Young Circle, Federal Highway runs straight through Dania Beach, past Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and into downtown Fort Lauderdale. It is the calmer choice for a car with a warning light on, or for a low exotic you’d rather keep out of interstate traffic.
  • A1A from Hollywood Beach. From the Broadwalk area, A1A heads north toward Dania Beach, then follows US-1 around the airport and the port.
  • Florida’s Turnpike from Hollywood Hills West or the State Road 7 corridor, north to I-595 east, then I-95 north to Sunrise Boulevard.

Shop address: 930 NE 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304, (954) 562-8045. Fort Lauderdale is open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM, and closed Sunday. On Sunday, or for a drop-off after hours, use our Oakland Park shop at 250 NE 44th St: it is open 7 days, and its lot is open 24 hours with a key drop box at the front door.

Hollywood neighborhoods we serve

Downtown Hollywood around Young Circle and the ArtsPark, Hollywood Beach and the Broadwalk, Hollywood Lakes, North Lake and South Lake, Emerald Hills, Hollywood Hills, Driftwood and the neighborhoods out west by Topeekeegee Yugweekee Park and the Seminole Hard Rock on State Road 7. Pembroke Park and West Park drivers use the same routes north.

What Hollywood driving does to a car

Hollywood stretches from the ocean to the Turnpike, so the wear depends on where the car lives.

  • Salt air by the beach. Cars parked on Hollywood Beach or along the Intracoastal see corrosion on brake hardware, suspension bolts, exhaust hangers and battery terminals sooner than cars parked inland. We look at these on every visit and photograph what we find.
  • Low streets and king tides. Parts of east Hollywood near the Intracoastal take on water during heavy summer rain and the highest tides of the year. If you drove through standing water and the car now runs rough or shows electrical faults, see flood-damaged car repair before you keep driving it.
  • I-95 brake wear. Daily stop-and-go between Hollywood Boulevard and Fort Lauderdale is hard on pads and rotors. Heavy European SUVs feel it first. See brake repair.
  • Heat and A/C. A car that sits in a beach lot in August asks a lot of its compressor, condenser and cooling fans. If the vents blow warm at red lights but cool on the highway, the fans or condenser are often the cause. See A/C repair.

Cars we work on

Every make. That includes European cars (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, VW, Porsche, Range Rover, Volvo), exotics (Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, Bentley), EVs and hybrids (Tesla, Rivian, Lucid), and the American and Japanese cars most Hollywood families drive every day. Our technicians use factory-level diagnostic software for the European brands, including BMW ISTA and Mercedes XENTRY, so coding and adaptations are done properly.

Common jobs for Hollywood drivers:

  • Check-engine light diagnostics, including smoke tests for EVAP and vacuum leaks
  • Brakes, suspension, tires and wheel alignment
  • A/C and coolant leak repair
  • Batteries, starters and alternators, especially on cars parked near the beach
  • In-house body and paint, with help filing insurance claims
