Closest shop: Fort Lauderdale
Prestige Auto Repairs & Tires has no shop in Miami Gardens. We serve Miami Gardens drivers at our two Broward shops, and the Fort Lauderdale shop at 930 NE 4th Ave is the closer one: about 18 to 22 miles, depending on which side of the city you start from.
- I-95 north. From Ives Dairy Road or Miami Gardens Drive on the east side of the city, take I-95 north through Hallandale Beach, Hollywood and Dania Beach, past I-595, to the Sunrise Boulevard exit. Head east, then turn south onto NE 4th Avenue.
- Florida’s Turnpike north. From the west side near Hard Rock Stadium, take the Turnpike north to I-595 east, then I-95 north to Sunrise Boulevard. It avoids the I-95 merges around Ives Dairy Road.
- US-441 (State Road 7) north. Runs north through Miami Gardens into Broward. Slower, with traffic lights, but useful if the car shouldn’t be on the interstate.
Shop address: 930 NE 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304, (954) 562-8045. Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM, closed Sunday. On Sunday, our Oakland Park shop at 250 NE 44th St is open 8 AM to 7 PM, and it is the shop with a 24-hour lot and key drop box.
Miami Gardens neighborhoods we serve
Carol City, Norland, Andover, Scott Lake, Lake Lucerne, Bunche Park, Rolling Oaks and the streets around Hard Rock Stadium, Florida Memorial University and St. Thomas University. The NW 27th Avenue, NW 183rd Street (Miami Gardens Drive) and NW 199th Street corridors all lead toward the routes above. Drivers from Opa-locka and the Golden Glades area use the same roads.
East of I-95? See our page for North Miami Beach.
What Miami Gardens driving does to a car
Miami Gardens is inland, so salt air is less of a factor than on the beaches. Traffic, heat and heavy daily mileage are what wear cars out here.
- Highway brake wear. The Palmetto Expressway, the Golden Glades interchange, I-95 and the Turnpike all mean hard braking at merges and long slowdowns. Pads, rotors and calipers wear fast, especially on heavy SUVs and trucks. See brake repair.
- Stadium and event traffic. Game days and big events around Hard Rock Stadium put cars in slow traffic for long stretches, the hardest condition for a cooling system and an A/C compressor in summer. See A/C repair.
- Transmissions on high-mileage commuters. Long daily commutes to Miami or Broward add miles fast. Harsh shifts, slipping or a flashing transmission light need a proper diagnosis before they get worse. See transmission repair.
- Tires and alignment. Potholes, curbs and construction zones knock alignment out and wear tires unevenly. See tires and wheel alignment.
- Flooded streets after storms. Low streets in parts of the city hold water after heavy summer rain. If the car went through deep water and now runs rough, stop and have it checked.

How a visit works
- Call (954) 562-8045, walk in Monday to Saturday, book online or send the estimate form with photos.
- We inspect the car and send photos of every finding.
- You approve a written estimate. Nothing is done without your OK.
- Repairs carry our 2-year / 24,000-mile warranty, honored at both shops.
If you are buying a used car, from a private seller or a lot, bring it in first for a pre-purchase inspection with photos and a written report.
Prefer not to make the drive? Call the shop to ask about concierge pickup and delivery. Our ASE-certified technicians speak English and Spanish. See all service areas.
