Closest shop: Fort Lauderdale
Miramar runs along the Miami-Dade County line in south Broward, from the State Road 7 area in the east to the Everglades levee in the west. Our Fort Lauderdale shop is the closer of our two, but the route and distance change a lot from one side of the city to the other. We don’t have a shop in Miramar; we serve Miramar drivers at our Fort Lauderdale and Oakland Park shops.
- East Miramar (State Road 7, Miramar Parkway east of University Drive): Miramar Parkway east, where it becomes Hallandale Beach Boulevard, to I-95 north. Exit at Sunrise Boulevard, head east past Andrews Avenue and south onto NE 4th Avenue. About 16 miles. Pembroke Road east to I-95 works too.
- West Miramar (Monarch Lakes, Sunset Lakes, Riviera Isles): I-75 north from Miramar Parkway, then I-595 east and I-95 north to the Sunrise Boulevard exit. Closer to 27 miles.
- Central Miramar (Town Center, Red Road, Palm Avenue): either route works. Pick I-95 if you are closer to University Drive and I-75 if you are closer to Flamingo Road.
Fort Lauderdale shop: 930 NE 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304, (954) 562-8045, Monday to Saturday, 8 AM – 7 PM. Sunday visits go to the Oakland Park shop, 250 NE 44th St, (954) 303-0758, open seven days.
Neighborhoods we serve
Silver Shores and the older neighborhoods of east Miramar, Country Club Ranches, Huntington, Monarch Lakes, Sunset Lakes, Riviera Isles, the Miramar Town Center and Cultural Center area, the offices around the Miramar Park of Commerce, and the neighborhoods near Miramar Regional Park. Drivers from Pembroke Pines, West Park and Pembroke Park use the same routes.
Commuting in two directions
Miramar sits between two job markets. Many drivers head south into Miami-Dade every day, and many others head north toward Fort Lauderdale. Either way, a typical week includes long stretches of I-95, I-75 or the Turnpike, plus stop-and-go on Miramar Parkway and Pembroke Road. These are the problems that kind of driving brings in:
- Tires and alignment. Highway speed and rough expansion joints wear tires fast and knock alignment out. If the steering wheel is off-center or the car drifts on a straight road, have it checked. See tires and wheel alignment.
- Batteries. South Florida heat is hard on batteries, and modern cars draw power even when parked. A slow crank or a battery warning on the dash is the signal to test it. See battery replacement.
- A/C. Long commutes in July sun push A/C systems to the limit. Warm air at idle, a musty smell or water on the passenger floor all point to specific faults we can find. See car A/C repair.
- Transmissions. Heavy traffic heats transmission fluid. Harsh shifts, slipping or a delay going into gear deserve a look before they get worse.
- Storm water. West Miramar is flat and laced with lakes and canals, and heavy summer rain can leave streets flooded. If your car went through deep water, have it checked even if it seems fine. Electrical faults can appear weeks later.
After a fender-bender on I-95 or I-75
Crowded highways mean minor collisions happen. We do collision repair, body and paint in-house, so the mechanical and body work on the same car stays in one place. We also help you file and follow up on insurance and extended-warranty claims, including CarMax MaxCare. Bring the claim number if you have one. We photograph the damage, write an estimate the adjuster can review, and keep you updated as the repair moves forward.
Every make we work on
Everyday cars: Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep, Dodge and Ram. European: Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, VW, Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar and Volvo, with factory-level diagnostic tools. Exotic: Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Bentley and Rolls-Royce. EV and hybrid: Tesla, Rivian, Lucid and the plug-in hybrids from the European brands.
